In its continual drive to provide the very best levels of support for its members, Made in the Midlands has further expanded its list of Patrons.

The latest to join is Capex Finance, one of the largest commercial finance brokerages in the Midlands.

Its decision brings the list of Patrons to 14, who together offer services ranging from taxation, insurance, legal services, financial management, foreign exchange, recruitment, energy provision, security and workwear.

Capex Finance is one of the largest commercial finance brokerages in the Midlands. Originally set up 1999, the firm was acquired in January 2017 by Maxxia Group – the UK arm of the McMillan Shakespeare business based in Australia and listed on the ASX stock exchange in Australia.

The group is one of the fastest growing asset funding and management businesses in the UK – and have arranged over £500m worth of lending in the last twelve months alone. The Group including Capex are actively looking to grow this to over £1bn by 2020.

Capex Finance is based off St Pauls Square, in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. It specifically covers the whole of the Midlands Region and beyond – focussing on helping, assisting and advising manufacturing companies of all shapes & sizes obtain the correct funding solution for their business.

Alan Hunt, Director, said: “Capex Finance are delighted to become a Patron of Made in the Midlands - 2018. Capex have always supported manufacturing businesses in and around the Midlands Region since its inception. We are very much looking forward to being part of the #MIMFAMILY.

“We feel there are fantastic opportunities in the sector and are keen to be involved in helping the Midlands manufacturing businesses achieve growth and investment to support their business plans now and into the future.”

Charles Addison, Director, Made in the Midlands, said: “Becoming a Patron is a major statement of intent by a firm and indicates their desire to support Made in the Midlands at the highest level.

“We are delighted to welcome Capex Finance to the list of Patrons and we hope the association be fruitful for all concerned.”

The Capex Offering

Mr Hunt continued: “Our main activity is providing commercial finance products – mainly asset finance for all types of plant, equipment, cars and commercial vehicles and general business assets. Our main products are Hire Purchase, Lease and Commercial Loan.

“Our Commercial Loan offering is designed to help with non-tangible items such as funding of business expansion, working capital injections, R & D costs, spreading HMRC debt, stock purchasing and many more.

“We have direct funding lines into more than 80 different lenders from High Street banks through to smaller niche finance companies. We also have our own lending book – Maxxia Finance – with in-house underwriting and a real commercial appetite to assist business growth.

“We are happy to help on any size of business for any type of funding requirement regardless – transaction sizes start from as little as £5k but can run in to the millions.

“Our team are all experts in the commercial funding field and we are very much looking forward to supporting Made in the Midlands members.”
